According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), “microgreens” are tiny, edible greens grown from the seeds of vegetables and herbs.  A study from the USDA’s Agricultural Research Service (ARS) found that, at equal weights, almost all of these tiny greens contain about five times more nutrients than found in the mature leaves of the same plants and have some of the highest concentrations of vitamin C, carotenoids, vitamin K and vitamin E.


Our microgreens are grown within a 1-3 week period in a  environmentally controlled facility. Harvesting at such an early stage guarantees our produce packs a nutritional punch with flavor and nutrition.

Sample Microgreen Descriptions

  • Anise Hyssop – Leaves are light green and tinged with pink with a licorice-mint flavor.

  • Broccoli - Dark-green leaves with a mild broccoli flavor.

  • Bulls Blood Beet – Lofty deep burgundy tender leaves and stems with an earthy, spinach-like flavor.

  • Carrot – Finely textured leaves and a mild carrot flavor, creating a delicate effect to mixes.

  • Chervil – Intricate green leaves and stems with a mild, sweet anise flavor. A traditional French herb used to flavor egg, potato, fish, and poultry dishes. 

  • Cilantro - Intricate green leaves with a robust cilantro flavor.

  • Cinnamon Basil – Sweet cinnamon flavor.

  • Cressida Cress - Fancy, three-lobed leaves with a peppery flavor. Also known as "Curly Cress" or "Peppergrass." Try adding cress to a sandwich or when an extra-spicy bite is needed.

  • Dill – Fine-textured, feathery, medium-green leaves with a mild dill flavor. Combine micro dill with fish, egg, and potato dishes for delicate, sweet citrusy notes.

  • Lemon Balm - Tiny, finely-textured shiny green leaves with a distinct lemon flavor. Finely-textured leaves. Excellent for adding a burst of citrus flavor to desserts and cool, refreshing cocktails. 

  • Lemon Basil – Uniform, medium-textured green leaves with a spicy lemon flavor. Use lemon basil in dishes that call for both basil flavor and a touch of zest. Also an elegant cocktail and dessert garnish. A critical ingredient in many Asian dishes, including those of Thailand, Laos, Indonesia, and the Philippines.

  • Mizuna –Unique, fancy-toothed leaves with a mild mustard green flavor. Angular-shaped true leaves and bright-green color make it an excellent addition to any mix.

  • Red Rambo Radish – Very rich color of dark-purple stems and leaves with a mildly spicy flavor that is not harsh. Micro radish leaves add flavor, visual appeal, and bulk to mixes.

  • Red Rubin Basil - All purple leaves with light-purple stems and a sweet-spicy flavor. Use as a colorful garnish on top of desserts or to add robust flavor and visual interest to summery cocktails. A critical ingredient in many Asian dishes, including those of Thailand, Laos, Indonesia, and the Philippines.

  • Red Russian Kale - Dark-green serrated leaves outlined in light purple with purple stems and a mild kale flavor.

  • Salad Burnet – Intricate medium-green leaves and stems with a mild cucumber flavor. Add salad burnet micros to salads or cold drinks for a subtle cucumber flavor.

  • Spicy Micro Mix - A colorful blend of red and green mustards with various light textures and a refreshingly spicy flavor.

  • Wasabi Arugula – Delicate green leaves with a bold wasabi flavor. A small plant that packs a punch!

  • Wasabina Mustard – Beautiful, heavily-frilled and ruffled leaves with a nice, slightly spicy and sweet flavor.
